As seen in
There's a lot to see in Britain if you know where to look, and when. Our photography holidays cover the Scottish Highlands, Lake District, and Cornwall for landscapes; the Farne Islands and Norfolk coast for wildlife; and some of the darkest skies in the UK for astrophotography. Groups stay small, the pace stays relaxed, and solo travellers are always welcome. New to UK photo tours? Start with our photography articles and location guides. Landscape shooters should start with our favourite landscape locations in the UK.
Amazing experience in Scotland. They took us to hidden gems I would never have discovered on my own. The tips and techniques significantly improved my photography skills. The group size was perfect, allowing for personalised attention.
The Experience
Before the rest of the world wakes up, you're already there. Our itineraries are flexible by design. We move when the light calls for it, stay longer when it's worth it, and know the viewpoints that don't appear in any guidebook.
Full tuition, occasional guidance, or just the locations: our approach adapts to you. No rushing. No crowds. Just Britain, through your lens.
Some mornings start at 4am and finish in mud. The weather is unpredictable; our locations are not. We plan for it, and the photographs are usually better for it.
Why Photographers Choose Us
Dion carries supplementary camera bodies, telephoto lenses, Kase Wolverine filter sets, teleconverters and astro lenses that you can try alongside your own kit. Bring your own camera and lenses. Kase filter kits are on every tour; other items are lent as the situation allows.
Every tour is capped at five, because that's the largest group where your guide can give every photographer one-on-one attention at every location. Not a coach tour with 25 strangers.
All tours run as booked, because we don't cancel for low numbers. Full financial protection arranged through Towergate Insurance, underwritten by Evolution Insurance, on every booking, and a PTR certificate is issued on payment.
Your guide has spent years scouting the spots that don't appear in guidebooks, because the difference between a good photograph and a postcard one is usually the angle nobody else knows about.
One of very few UK operators covering all three: landscapes, wildlife (puffins, grey seals, red deer), and dark-sky astrophotography. You don't have to choose.
Complete beginners and photographers with decades of experience join the same tours. Tuition adapts to each person. Lightroom editing sessions are included on all multi-day tours.
Client Reviews
Amazing tour on Skye and through the Highlands. Dion is a very patient and experienced guide. I learnt so much about photography even though it was my third guided photography tour. He knows Scotland very well and showed us many places unknown to most people.
The guide was very knowledgeable about the best spots. Importantly, he kept us at a safe distance from the seals and ensured we never disturbed them. All photos were taken from an appropriate distance with a long lens. For aspiring wildlife photographers, would thoroughly recommend.
Had the best day with Dion, visiting Bodiam and Scotney Castles. He is delightful and so helpful with an excellent array of lenses, filters and tripods you can borrow. He caters for everyone from the true beginner to experienced photographers. Could not recommend him more.
Dion arranged all the best spots throughout the Isle of Skye, as well as our accommodations. His knowledge of the area was most appreciated and we felt safe and well looked after. He also arranged some great fall weather and skies!
Dion spent plenty of one-to-one time with each of us. Despite being a keen photographer for over 25 years, I did learn a few things! I had attended 3 one-day trips and had high expectations. I wasn't disappointed.
Great trip. Nice friendly atmosphere. Beautiful spots. Dion is a highly competent and helpful photography adviser who can accommodate all sorts of different needs. He was patient with me and lent me his equipment which helped me get great shots.

Wildlife Photography Tours
Grey seal pups on the Norfolk coast in winter. Puffins on the Farne Islands in late spring. Red deer in the Scottish Highlands. Up to 140,000 birds in the Snettisham Whirling Wader Spectacular. Each one needs the right timing, the right lens, and someone who knows exactly where to stand.
Solo Travellers
Most of our bookings are solo travellers. A group of five is small enough that you'll quickly get to know everyone, and most people leave as friends. Your guide works to your individual pace and level, not the group average.
Flexible itineraries, quiet locations, and a relaxed pace. You're here to take photographs. Everything else is taken care of.
Supported by Kase Filters
We're officially supported by Kase Filters, who supply all participants with Wolverine filter sets to use free of charge on every landscape workshop. Filters let you balance exposure in-camera rather than in post. If you've never used them before, we'll show you how.
Every participant also receives an exclusive discount on Kase filter purchases, and tuition is included whatever your experience level.
Ready When You Are
Join a small group, photograph places most people never find, and come home with images that reflect what you actually saw. Professional guidance throughout. Supplementary equipment available to try alongside your own kit.
