Join us on this fantastic 3-day photography weekend workshop and capture the essence and natural beauty of the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, also known as “Waterfall Country”.
This workshop caters to all levels, whether you’re a novice or an experienced photographer looking to refine your skills and expand your portfolio.
We’ll explore the different photographic vantage points offered by the day’s water levels – waterproof boots are a distinct advantage in Waterfall Country!
As always, our tour participants will each have access to a set of award-winning Kase filters!
During the workshop, you’ll explore some of the most striking waterfalls in the Waterfall Country of the Brecon Beacons National Park, South Wales.
Our highlights include;
Please note that some sections of the paths are likely muddy with obstacles such as tree roots and stones. We have included a photo of what is probably the worst section for you to judge if you are able to navigate the terrain. Photographing waterfalls is inherently risky. By booking this tour you confirm that you understand and accept all risks. Thanks.
With our Wales waterfall photo tour, you’ll have a memorable photography experience amidst the stunning Welsh countryside. You’ll leave with a refined set of photography skills and gorgeous photos of Wales that you’ll treasure for years. Don’t miss out on this incredible photo opportunity to refine your photographic skills and capture the beauty of Waterfall Country through your lens. We look forward to you joining us at our next Waterfall Photography Workshop in Wales!
Daily Itinerary
Day 1 – Depart London, arrive in Waterfall Country!
The adventure to Waterfall Country begins! You and your fellow photographers will be collected by your photo guide from the scheduled meeting point. From there, you’ll begin the journey to Wales. We’ll settle into our accommodation, call into the local shops to purchase supplies and snacks, check tomorrow’s forecasted weather conditions then have a lesson on the importance of using filters to control the light in photographing waterfalls.
Day 2 – Explore the Elidir Trail in Bannau Brycheiniog
The highlight of our full day of landscape photography is exploring the Elidir Trail, which is a paradise for both nature lovers on a walking tour and photo enthusiasts such as ourselves. The trail features a series of stunning and gushing waterfalls that will take your breath away. As you walk along the trail, you’ll be surrounded by lush greenery and a serene atmosphere that will make you feel at peace as well as yearning to get your camera out to capture the scene. Using our Kase filters (or your own), we’ll capture some stunning long exposures of the waterfalls as we work our way along the river, each offering a unique location and photographic opportunity.
Day 3 – Depart Brecon Beacons, return to London
After breakfast on the third day, we’ll load up and head to a final waterfall in the national park before we bid farewell to Waterfall Country, and board our transport for London. We’ll break up the journey by stopping at another landscape photography opportunity, one of the biggest castles in the UK, Caerphilly Castle. We’ll then continue on to our first drop off point near Warren Street tube station in central London. The second drop off point will be West Acton tube station.

If you do another trip I would love to join you again!
Many thanks for a wonderful trip last week, I really enjoyed it and have taken away so much 😊.
I’m about 80% through post processing, it’s really difficult to choose as there are so many great shots!
I’ve been considering buying Kase filters too!

UK Photo Tours is owned and operated by professional photographer, Dion Hitchcock.
Dion brings over a decade of expertise in teaching and guiding photography. He is an expat Australian and when not running photography tours, resides in London, UK, running photography workshops or as a locum pharmacist. His extensive travel experiences, spanning over 40 countries, ignited his passion for photography as a means to chronicle his journeys. This passion quickly evolved into a profound interest, leading him to actively participate in various camera clubs, assisting them in conducting workshops. Today, Dion independently operates his own workshops mainly across the UK, and occasionally internationally.
His London-based photography Meetup groups have 7,000+ members and over 500 5-star ratings.
Dion still maintains his registration as a pharmacist professional, dedicating his time to aiding patients and educating pharmacy students. However, he has transitioned his time into the realm of photography, where he assists clients in understanding the craft’s technical and artistic aspects. This shift, though unconventional, aligns with his upbringing; both of his parents were artists who nurtured his appreciation for the world’s inherent beauty. His extensive photography experience, professional background, passion for teaching, and numerous five-star reviews ensures you’ll be in the best of care whilst on tour.
